ONCODIR at 2nd Prevention and Early Detection (Implementation Research) Cluster Meeting
The ONCODIR partners from CERTH, EUREGHA, EXUS, AUTH and SYNYO — participated in the 2nd Annual Meeting of the Prevention and Early Detection Cluster – Implementation Research, held in Barcelona and hosted by the Pieces Project at the Catalan Public Health Secretariat.
The meeting opened with welcoming remarks by Cristina Martinez (PIECES) and an intervention from Laura García Ibáñez, the Cluster’s Project Officer, who provided an overview of current progress and upcoming steps.

In the working group sessions, participants reflected on each project’s contributions and identified joint actions to reinforce citizen engagement, reduce inequalities, align research strategies, and improve communication during the next cluster’s phase.
Finally, a policy recommendations workshop brought together key insights from the day to define common challenges and shape proposals aimed at informing future European policies on cancer prevention.
The productive meeting concluded with a clear roadmap for joint actions and a unified set of policy proposals, setting the stage for reinforced European efforts in cancer prevention and early detection
