EUREGHA hosted the demonstration of the ONCODIR DELI tool during its latest Cancer Working Group Meeting

EUREGHA, as a dedicated partner of the ONCODIR project, was delighted to host a demonstration of the ONCODIR DELI tool during its latest Cancer Working Group Meeting. This platform serves as a crucial forum, bringing together leading regional experts in cancer research and policy.

During the meeting, Giorgos Dritsakis from the iSENSE group of ICCS—another valuable ONCODIR partner—presented the functionalities of the DELI tool. The tool received very positive feedback, highlighting the usefulness of both the descriptive and predictive analytics as well as its potential to aid the decision-making process for colorectal cancer (CRC) prevention across Europe. Attendees also offered insightful suggestions for further development, which are instrumental to refining the tool. The tool received very positive feedback, highlighting its potential to significantly aid policymakers in streamlining the decision-making process by integrating comprehensive population-level data sourced from the ONCODIR citizen app and policy-related information from across Europe. Attendees also offered insightful suggestions for further development, which are instrumental to refining the tool.

This recent meeting marks another chapter in EUREGHA’s ongoing engagement with the ONCODIR initiative. It follows two focused sessions held in September and October, where essential feedback was gathered on behavioral and structural barriers to colorectal cancer (CRC) prevention. These discussions shed light on challenges, proposed mitigation strategies, and effective practices from regional and local perspectives across Europe.

EUREGHA remains committed to fostering collaboration and leveraging expert insights to advance cancer prevention and policy-making tools such as DELI, reinforcing its mission to support European regional and local health authorities.
