ONCODIR Partner Pola Joins “Būtent!” Festival in Lithuania

On 28–29 August, POLA joined a vibrant public festival that brought together patients, professionals and the wider community for open conversations about cancer care. POLA hosted and participated in three well-attended discussions: “Does a patient only need to undergo treatment, or also coordinate their own care?”, “Clinical trials in oncology: from molecule to medicine” and “Cancer: a medical condition or a social issue?”. The discussions attracted strong interest, including many patients, and created space to raise important questions, share perspectives and strengthen the patient voice in conversations about cancer care and its wider impact. As part of POLA’s participation in the ONCODIR project, ONCODIR information leaflets were shared with participants during all three discussions, helping introduce the project and its work to an engaged public audience.
